Connect a receipt printer
Till and kitchen printers, routing by category and the print station.
Kitchen tickets and receipts can print automatically. The Printers page is available with online ordering or the point of sale.
Add a printer
- In Printers, click New printer.
- Choose its role: till (guest receipts) or kitchen (preparation tickets).
- Choose the connection: browser (printer installed on the computer), Epson ePOS (network printer, IP address) or ESC/POS via QZ Tray.
- Set the paper width (58 or 80 mm), number of copies, cut and beep.
- Run a test page.
Send each dish to the right printer
The categories × printers grid sets which kitchen printer receives which category (e.g. Pizzas → oven, Drinks → bar). A printer that “receives categories without a printer” acts as a safety net.
The print station
Leave the Print station page open on a computer or tablet connected to the printers: it collects tickets and prints them as they come. An “online” badge in the settings confirms the station is working.
When to print?
- kitchen tickets when the order is received or accepted;
- “ADDED” tickets for added items and “CANCELLED” for cancellations;
- automatic receipt when an order is fully paid.
With Chrome started in --kiosk-printing mode, printing happens without any confirmation window.
